Bergan E. Schumacher

Bergan graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska – Kearney in 2011, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.  Her prior employment with the Buffalo County Attorney’s Office, the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office, and the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, provided her with valuable relationships and experience from which her clients benefit.

While in law school, Bergan received awards for her performance in both Trial Advocacy and the Nebraska Law Criminal Clinic. She received her Juris Doctorate as well as a certification in litigation from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2015. Bergan practices a variety of litigation but specializes in family law assisting her clients with custody, divorce, adoption, guardianships, and child support issues as well as criminal defense, juvenile law, and personal injury.

Bergan currently serves on the Young Lawyers Executive Committee of the Nebraska State Bar Association, the SAFE Center Board of Directors, and the NCDAA (Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorneys Association) Board of Directors.
