About Samuel G Mellema
Samuel G Mellema is a native to central Nebraska, growing up in Axtell. Sam graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. After he graduated from UNL, he served in the AmeriCorps program in Laramie, Wyoming at a non-profit organization serving low-income families needing legal representation in family and juvenile law.
After his AmeriCorps service, Sam attended the University of Wyoming where he got his Master of Public Administration and his Juris Doctor degrees. While in law school, Sam gained valuable work experience at the Grand Island City Attorney’s office, the Hall County Public Defender’s office, the University of Wyoming Family and Child Legal Advocacy Center, and the Wyoming Guardian Ad Litem office.
